To protect yourself from browser hijack is to start by getting your pc checked and turning on your firewall, use one anti virus, a lot of anti virus will just confused your pc.
Always determine whether whats in the email is true, if they are useless and absolutely necessary, dont attract hijackers. Delete messages that you think are scams, prolonging them in your account might be the scam.
