Jest-A-Day Journal Celebrates Today's ThemeGrammy Awards
The Grammy Awards (originally the Gramophone Awards), presented by the Recording Academy (an association of Americans professionally involved in the recorded music industry) for outstanding achievements in the recording industry. Grammys (last of what are considered the "big three" music awards shows, including the BMA and AMA shows) are considered the approximate equivalent to the Oscars, in the music world. The 48th Grammy Award will be held tonight, February 8, 2006.

ENTERTAINER'S DEATH
It is always sad to have to send you a message like this. Today there is a great mourning in the entertainment world. The man who wrote the song "Hokey Pokey" died today. The really horrible thing about his death is they could not keep him in his casket. They put his left leg in and - well, you know the rest.
