PROZAC, CIPRO TO BE COMBINED IN ONE PILL
News of Antibiodepressant Comes Hours After 'Very Scary' Powdered Donut Shuts
Down Toledo
Hoping to create a pharmaceutical that will treat both anthrax and mass
hysteria, the U.S. has begun production of a new pill that combines the
antidepressant Prozac with the antibiotic Cipro, Homeland Defense Czar Tom
Ridge announced today. The medication, tentatively called Ciprozac, should be
available next week, Ridge said.
"A pill a day keeps the worries -- real or imagined -- away,'" Ridge told
reporters as he popped one of the tiny lavender pills into his mouth.
"By God, I feel better already!" Ridge added cheerfully.
The decision to start mass-producing Ciprozac came hours after the appearance
of a "very scary" powdered donut in Toledo, Ohio created widespread panic and
resulted in the entire city being shut down.
The terrifying, suspiciously powdered donut was discovered on the counter of
a downtown Toledo donut shop, according to observers familiar with the donut.
When a customer at the donut shop noticed that the donut was "unattended," he
immediately phoned the police.
A ten-block area surrounding the frightening donut was immediately cordoned
off, and workers across town were immediately sent home.
A hazmat squad swept in and removed the donut, which is now being tested by
the Center for Disease Control. But all around Toledo, citizens' nerves were
clearly still rattled.
"I know it was just a donut," said Sheila Roden, 32, waiting on line at a
Buy-Rite pharmacy to fill a newly-minted prescription for Ciprozac. "But who
knows? Next time, it could be a cruller."

The 1960's were when hallucinogenic drugs were really big. And I don't think
it's a coincidence that we had the shows then like The Flying Nun. - Ellen
DeGeneres
